Remove Silent Shutter Banding in Lightroom Classic

Feb 15, 2026

Silent Shutter Banding - What is it?

If you have a mirrorless camera and use the silent-shutter option for shooting less intrusively, you'll likely have been stung by banding on your images caused by certain types of LED lighting.

It's caused by the slow readout from our sensors in silent/electronic shutter mode, paired with LED lights. As the image is recorded, the high-frequency LED lights are changing the scene as we save the image!

Let's show you how to fix it

It is commonly thought that you can't do much about this, at least without going into Photoshop to create complex masks. This is totally untrue, you can fix it right within Lightroom Classic, and it's very quick to do... if you know how.

This video shows a full step-by-step walkthrough of the whole process.
